My favorite
way to recharge is just to spend some quiet time at home. I am not
particularly an outdoors-type person but I do love to take walks or sit outside
and soak up a beautiful sunset. When the busyness and noise of life crowds in,
it’s so nice to come home to a place of solitude and peace to recharge and
rewind. I love to read too - however, these days I spend way too
much time surfing the web. I have learned that I spend a lot of my time doing
things like this when I am rewinding and they aren’t necessarily recharging. Do you do that? I end up doing easy things to relax or rewind and they may not be my favorite thing to do but they end up taking up most of my time and
aren’t edifying, recharging, learning, inspiring, or helping me grow – TV
watching is one of those activities. With
the New Year I am resolved to be more aware of how I am spending my time.
I’ve also
learned the only way to really recharge comes from a relationship with
God. I don’t always turn everything over
to Him when I should but I do know where my true strength lies…..
But they that wait upon the
LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they
shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
When you have the
opportunity to recharge do you take the opportunity to do the activities that
truly recharge you? If so, what are they?
